Reiki Healing
Reiki is a century old energy healing technique developed in Japan. It is based on the concept of balancing the body's energetic biofield to support overall wellness. Sessions typically involve a gentle "laying on of hands" over certain areas of the body (generally the major chakras or meridians.) It can also be sent from a distance, whether inches from the recipient or from across the globe.
Reiki promotes relaxation & general well being, enhances natural healing, and can have a holistic effect on the mind body and soul.

What is Reiki?
And what it is not...
Reiki is defined as universally guided energy, from the words Rei (God/the universe, or whatever description of a higher consciousness resonates with you) and Ki (or Chi, the life force energy which flows through us all). While there is definitely a spiritual aspect to Reiki, it is not a religion, and is available to all belief systems. Reiki is a divinely channeled energy, not personally directed energy from the practitioner. This makes it safer for both parties, as Reiki can do no harm. Touch is often involved, but Reiki is not massage. Sessions are received fully clothed, and very little motion of the hands is used. Reiki can also be performed completely touch-free. Reiki can be a miracle, just as all of creation is a miracle. It is not, however, a replacement for proper medical treatment. Reiki is an excellent supportive therapy to use in conjunction with traditional healthcare. So what IS it? Reiki is balance. Reiki is clarity. Reiki is peace. Reiki is healing on all levels. Reiki flows to where it's needed. Reiki is wholeness. Reiki is love & light. Reiki is connection to the divine. Reiki is pure. |
